Keisari was going to be the first sushi restaurant in Sinsheim, Germany. A small industrial town not known for its nightlife or its ambition. That was exactly why it mattered.
We didn't design a Japanese restaurant. We designed a portal.
A place where people could step out of the grey ordinariness of their everyday surroundings and into somewhere that felt cool, alive and worth dressing up for. A place to be seen and to see others. Something the town had never had and didn't know it was waiting for.
Not the branding. But the feeling of arrival.
Because sometimes a town just needs one place that changes everything. One door you can walk through and forget, just for an evening, where you are.
Keisari became that place.
